Install plugins

Activate available plugins from the Quark ERP admin UI so new menus, screens, and APIs appear for your company.

Who can install

Installing or uninstalling plugins usually requires an administrator role. If you do not see Modules, Plugins, or a similar settings screen, ask your admin — do not share admin accounts to work around permissions.

  • Admin / developer roles typically have access
  • Cashiers and operators normally only use installed features
  • Company deployments may rename the menu that lists plugins

Before you install

A plugin must already be available to the system before the UI can activate it.

  • Your team or vendor has placed a built plugin under available plugins (or uploaded a package, if your deployment supports uploads)
  • You know the plugin name and version you want
  • You have a maintenance window if the install restarts services or refreshes the app

Install from the UI

  1. 01

    Sign in as an admin

Use an account that can manage modules or plugins.

  2. 02

Open the plugins / modules screen

Find it under Settings, Developer, or Modules (exact label depends on your deployment).

  3. 03

    Choose an available plugin

Pick the name and version that are ready to install. Available means packaged for this server; installed means currently active.

  4. 04

    Install and wait

Confirm install. The platform copies the plugin into the installed set and marks the module as installed.

  5. 05

    Refresh and verify

Reload the app. New menus, Home shortcuts, or pages from the plugin should appear for roles that have permission.

After install

  • Grant roles permission to the new screens if they do not appear for some users
  • Check Home shortcuts if your team expects a new tile
  • If something is missing, confirm the plugin shows as installed and try a hard refresh

Uninstall or disable

Use the same admin screen to uninstall or disable a plugin when your deployment allows it. After uninstall, related menus disappear and the plugin stops loading. Prefer disabling during troubleshooting before a full uninstall if that option exists.

Troubleshooting

  • Plugin not listed as available — ask a developer to build or deploy it first
  • Installed but no menu — check roles & permissions for your user
  • Errors during install — note the plugin name, version, and message; contact your admin or The Paradance
  • Building or packing plugins yourself — use the developer documentation (CLI and plugin lifecycle)
